The back of the book contains a pictorial glossary, English words for the song, guitar chords and a list of extension ideas for parents and teachers. The book is Book 2 in a series.

Kei te peke ahau (I am jumping) is all about actions and animals. Children love joining in with the jumping and running. It’s also a great settling down song, with the last two actions being hiding and sleeping! The catchy tune, gorgeous illustrations and repetitive sentence structures make learning te reo easy and fun for children and adults. Author description

Sharon Holt lives in the Waikato region of New Zealand. She worked as a teacher and journalist before remembering her childhood dream of becoming a children's author. Since that wake up call, her children's books have been published by many trade and educational publishers. After starting to learn te reo Maori in 2002, Sharon got the idea for Te Reo Singalong books. She was working as a relief teacher in kindergartens and primary schools at the time, and realised that most teachers in mainstream education lack confidence to use and teach the level of te reo that is expected of them as part of the NZ curriculum. She designed Te Reo Singalong books to make it easy and fun to teach and learn more sentence structures in te reo.
