Laura Weston lives by a Marine Lake, where Oyster Catchers dabble, and boats bob. She loves the sea but she really loves drawing painting - absolutely anything with wings, petals, leaves, feathers or fur! "The Butterfly Garden" about brilliant Monarchs and their incredible journey is her first ever picture book project. Laura hand carves prints each picture. Printmaking designs always starts out with a rough drawing. Her inspiring places to draw are: in her beach tent in St Ives, Cornwall or at her Kitchen table on the Wirral. When she's not making art she likes to teach others all about it.
