DescriptionPicture story book for children featuring the illustrated text of a children's song. A new take on the song The Twelve Days of Christmas featuring popular kiwiana, including Maori translation of song. Translated by Kotuku & Te Okahurangi Tibble, with Ngaere Roberts; sung by Pio Terei. Author descriptionMyles Lawford is a Kiwi through and through. He grew up in New Zealand and studied art at university in New Zealand. Illustrating The 12 Days of Kiwi Christmas was a chance for Myles to relive his childhood - to bring back memories of summer holidays at the beach, when you could go to the local diary with $1 and come back with a huge bag of lollies! Pio Terei is one of New Zealand's most popular and personable entertainers. He is also a positive parenting advocate and spokesperson and has presented No Sweat Parenting shows around the country for many years, helping to write and present a series of the same name for Maori TV. Kotuku and Te Okahurangi Tibble are a husband-and-wife team. Kotuku Tibble is a former te reo Maori teacher who now commentates sports in te reo for Maori television. As a licensed translator with a love for rhythm, Kotuku enjoyed the challenge of translating this children's song.
