Ross was born in 1945 in Te Awamutu. He was sent to boarding school at the age - an experience he did not enjoy. Following his schooling, he attended Victoria University of Wellington. Then he became a secondary teacher of History and Social Studies. After 20 years he opened his own Antique shop in Hamilton. He and his wife have now retired and live in Thames.
All 35 contributors are listed by age with the schools they attended underneath.
